Water Quality Safety
Good water quality is important in Sakarya. To protect it, the City requires backflow prevention devices. They keep unsafe water from mixing with the potable water supply. Backflow prevention devices been installed on all commercial and multifamily residential structures, as well as residential irrigation systems, fire sprinkler systems, and other systems where drinking water could become contaminated.

Sewage is created by residential, institutional, and commercial and industrial establishments and includes household waste liquid from toilets, baths, showers, kitchens, sinks and so forth that is disposed of via sewers. In many areas, sewage also includes liquid waste from industry and commerce.
The separation and draining of household waste into greywater and blackwater is becoming more common in the developed world, with greywater being permitted to be used for watering plants or recycled for flushing toilets. Most sewage also includes some surface water from roofs or hard-standing areas and may include stormwater runoff.
Sewage treatment is the process of removing the contaminants from sewage to produce liquid and solid (sludge) suitable for discharge to the environment or for reuse. It is a form of waste management. A septic tank or other on-site wastewater treatment system such as biofilters can be used to treat sewage close to where it is created.

The Water and Sewerage Authority of SAKARYA(ADASU) is the sole water and sewerage provider in Metropolitan city of SAKARYA It was formed in 2001 by an act of Parliament to manage the areas of Sakarya
